Assessment of intuitive or extraocular vision and intuitive perception in participants with total or severe blindness (PDF in Spanish).

Research
Asking with curiosity is the only way to discover something new.
Our inquiry has led us to ask many questions about such a little-known capacity. Research isn’t an add-on at the end of the path: it is part of the path.
That’s how our three research commissions were born. Each one answers a different question, has its own team and moves at its own pace.
The three research commissions
-
Visual Research Commission
It began with a question: can this capacity help people who are blind in their daily lives? In 2020 we launched an extraocular vision program to find out.
Without it being a recovery of eyesight, people who are blind have been able to perceive colors, shapes and spaces, and even to read, through Intuitive Vision.
- Free individual program of 10 sessions.
- New: monthly online sessions for those who have completed it.
- Group workshops and partnerships with associations.
-
Education Commission
Opening up knowledge about intuition and perception to everyone from childhood, within public schools.
Two programs: an eight-session program for sixth graders on perception, emotions and stress management, and another for young people aged 12 to 16 on quantum physics and consciousness.
- This school year, in schools in Spain and Argentina.
- One Argentine school is repeating it for a second year.
- In the process of being introduced in Mexico.
-
Scientific Research Commission
An applied research line focused on the rigorous study of non-ordinary perception: extraocular vision, remote viewing, telepathy and other ways of accessing information beyond the senses.
Controlled protocols, blind conditions, statistical analysis and qualitative assessments.
- Three studies published in open access.
- Open to independent replication.
What we’re working on now
Visual Research Commission
New this year are the free monthly online sessions for people who are blind and have completed the ten individual sessions and want to keep practicing as a group. The ten-session program remains open, as do the in-person workshops and our partnerships with associations.
The commission also has its own website, masalladelavision.com (in Spanish), and a series of eight podcast episodes (in Spanish) on Intuitive Vision in people who are blind.
Some milestones along the way: in June 2024 we offered a group workshop for 22 people who are blind or have low vision at the ONCE center in Reus (ONCE is Spain’s national organization for the blind), with several of the Institute’s coaches, and a few months earlier our first group workshop in Barcelona (you can see it here).
Education Commission
This school year the program is running in several schools in Spain and Argentina. One of the Argentine schools is repeating it for a second year in a row, which for us is the best sign that it works: the decision to repeat comes from people who have seen it from the inside. And we’re in the process of bringing it to Mexico as well.
Alongside this, we continue the scientific evaluation of the results, to measure the benefits experienced by children, teachers and families.
If you’re a school principal, a teacher or a parent, we can set up a meeting with your school’s leadership team to present the proposal.
Scientific Research Commission
Current and upcoming research includes the study of Intuitive Vision in people who are blind or have low vision, the exploration of seeing without eyes in children from a playful and ethical perspective, double-blind telepathy experiments, research on remote viewing with unknown or AI-generated targets, and collaborations with outside researchers.
Who takes part
The commissions are sustained by coaches from the Institute’s network (in Spanish) who devote part of their time to research. These lists are generated from the same database as the Team page, so they stay up to date on their own.

How we do research
Our approach combines controlled protocols, blind conditions, statistical analysis and qualitative assessments, with the aim of observing these phenomena from a scientific, open and unprejudiced perspective.
Open access
We publish our studies in full and free of charge, in Spanish, right here on this website. At this stage we’ve chosen that over a conventional academic journal: anyone interested can read them, check them or reuse them without technical or financial barriers. It comes at a cost —they aren’t peer-reviewed, and we say so every time— and in return they can be discussed from day one.
An invitation to responsible replication
The Institute’s doors are open to laboratories, researchers and educational institutions who wish to replicate these experiments or test new related hypotheses, provided the methodological conditions appropriate to the study of non-ordinary perception are respected.
Our aim is to contribute to a more transparent, inclusive and open-minded science, one that recognizes the complexity of human beings and dares to explore the unknown without giving up rigor.
Publications
A preliminary assessment of non-local perception through remote viewing: an exploratory controlled study with multiple blind conditions (PDF in Spanish).
Experimental activity report — Festival of Consciousness 2025 (PDF in Spanish).
Coming soon
Perception without eyesight: a playful experimental study with children.
The influence of emotion on non-verbal transmission processes: an exploratory study of telepathic abilities.
Support the work
You can help keep this going
The three research commissions aren’t funded by grants. They move forward thanks to what the Institute contributes, the volunteer work of everyone involved and, from now on, the proceeds from our app (in Spanish). A one-time donation goes straight to that: hours spent accompanying people who are blind, materials for schools, and the studies we then publish in open access.
Any amount helps, and it doesn’t need to be recurring. If you’d rather contribute your time instead of money, write to us.
Are you part of a school, an association or a research team?
All three research commissions are open to collaboration.

Can people who are blind develop it too?
Yes. Intuitive Vision doesn’t depend on the eyes, but on perception. All of us can develop it.

What is Intuitive Vision?
It’s the ability to perceive your immediate physical surroundings without needing to use your physical eyes. It is a natural human capacity, beyond any method or goal.
