Intuition and sport: why train blindfolded?

Intuition and sport
In today’s session we were just playing. It was one more of the many activities we do blindfolded. As you can see, this student has no trouble locating the moving ball and intercepting its path using their intuition. This activity can be a playful way of expanding Intuitive Vision. It is also true that many students who do well in this training find that, over time, their skills improve when they play with their eyes open and without a blindfold, especially as goalkeepers. Many of them say that, without quite being able to explain it, they sense where the shot or throw is going to go. And it makes perfect sense: if, blindfolded, they can sense in real time where the ball is going, it is entirely understandable that with their eyes open they can read their opponents’ intentions and anticipate the movement and path of the ball.
Many players in different sports probably already make decisions unconsciously, based on simple intuition. But what is certain is that by expanding this intuition, their success rate increases exponentially, and so they become much more likely to succeed in this kind of activity.
Intuition and consciousness
Let us remember that this ability, seeing without the eyes, is entirely intuitive. Some studies (such as those by B. H. Lipton) indicate that our conscious mind can perceive about forty stimuli per second, while our subconscious would pick up around twenty million in the same time. It is precisely this information, which we take in but which usually escapes us, that makes up the intuitions we were talking about, to which we are normally completely insensitive, mainly because nobody has taught us to pick them up. With this training, we allow these stimuli to reach our conscious mind more easily, and so we have much more information available to make better decisions!
So… by opening up our intuition, we increase the amount of information that reaches us from our surroundings and from reality, and we become more aware of what is around us; in short, we gain in consciousness. And this applies to sport just as it does to many other essential areas of life.
